Join us for two special presentations with Daniel Closa from the European Patent Office. The first episode will take place on September 1, with the second episode to follow on September 29.
First, on Thursday, September 1, Daniel will explore a problem-solution approach to computer-implemented inventions in the EP. He will discuss pertinent parts of the EPO's Guidelines for Examination, as well as the EPO’s current examination practice. This webinar will cover topics such as: inventive step and claims with technical and non-technical features; a problem-solution approach for mixed-type inventions; analysis of features contributing to the technical character; the objective technical problem; and technical effects.
In a unique interactive aspect, the live audience for the September 1 presentation will have a chance to vote on what specific subject matter they would like to see in the September 29 presentation, for example AI or computer games.
Maureen Kinsler, principal at SLW International, will moderate the September 1 and September 29 sessions. Use the form on this page to register for both sessions at once. Or, click the links below to register for an individual session only. Either way, register today to hold your place. See you soon!
